FEDERACIÓN CATALANA DE PESSEBRISTES, LA ASOCIACIÓN DE PESSEBRISTAS DE BARCELONA Y PESEBRISTAS DE CIUTAT VELLA, invite you to this event.
This year, with the celebration of the 800 years of the Nativity Scene, the Reial Cercle Artístic will host, together with the Chapel of Santa Àgeda in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, the XIX Biennial of the Catalan Nativity Scene. A series of exhibitions of dioramas from the Catalan nativity scene organisations, as well as an international nativity scene exhibition and display. This deep-rooted tradition of nativity scenes coincides with the World Peace Forum. And it offers us the possibility of inviting all the congress participants to participate in this exceptional visit.
The origin of nativity scenes dates to Christmas Eve 1223, when St. Francis of Assisi chose a cave in Greccio (Italy) as a setting to represent the birth of Jesus. After 800 years, the tradition is still more alive than ever. All entities have been invited to participate by the organisers.
