In 2003 he sold the start-up to Prefabricaciones y Contratas, S.A. (Cementos Molins Group) and became technical director and member of the management committee. In 2007 he joined the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona) as Vice-Rector for Academic Planning and Teaching Staff. Full Member of the Royal European Academy of Doctors.

Physicist and poet, author of an extensive literary, essayistic and scientific work. Graduate (1975) and doctorate (1978) in Physics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, since 1989 he has been Professor of Condensed Matter Physics at that University, and Doctor Honoris Causa at the University of Girona. His scientific work has been devoted to research in the thermodynamics of irreversible processes and the physics of systems far from equilibrium. He is a member of the Institut d’Estudis Catalans (1990), a corresponding member of the Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales de Madrid (2004), and of the Accademia Peloritana de Messina (Sicily) (2005). He is a Full Member of the Royal European Academy of Doctors.

University of Navarra and PhD in Economics and Business Management from Ramón Llull University. Professor of Strategic Management at IESE Business School, he has also been a guest professor at IPADE (Mexico), AESE (Portugal), IDE (Ecuador), INCAE (Nicaragua), IEEM (Uruguay), MDE (Ivory Coast), Instituto San Telmo (Seville), and EADA (Barcelona). Since 1992 he has organised the IESE Business School’s Food and Beverage Entrepreneurs’ Meetings in Spain, and since 2015 in Mexico.
